According to a press release sent on Thursday by the Romanian Post Company, the positions in the Central Administration have been reduced from 1,200 to just 300 employees. At the national level, the company has reduced the total number of employees from 25,000 in June 2021, to 20,500 currently.
The optimization process aims to streamline the activity, reduce bureaucracy and adapt to current market needs. In 2025 alone, Poşta Română reduced 67 positions in the Central Administration, which represents an additional decrease of 20%, with a positive impact of approximately 10 million lei in annual savings to the company’s budget.
As a result of the restructuring and efficiency measures, the company achieved total savings of 151.3 million lei, of which 122.4 million lei are net savings, without taking into account the indirect benefits generated by workforce mobility.
